Reportage

This project aims to capture the vibrancy of life of four different locations across the beautiful country  of Peru.

Lima

This beautiful coastal city is the capital of Peru. With a wealth of character and diversity, Lima is full people from all walks of life.

Chorillos

One of the more disadvantaged areas of Lima, Chorillos is is located on the outskirts of the city. There are some fantastic projects happening in this area. We were lucky enough to experience first hand the positive work of  ‘Alto Peru’ a charity that gets children to channel their focus into surfing and Muay Thai. Another charity in the area ‘The Dutch Bike Project’ provides bikes to children and adults, providing a free means of transport and play to those unable to afford it.

Rural Huaraz

The harsh and dramatic landscape surrounding the mountain city of Huaraz is full of waterfalls, glaciers and and incredible views but it’s hard to imagine how people first started to inhabit the area. At over 3000 metres above sea level the climate can be unforgiving and the air hard to breathe.

Huaraz

In the short time I spent in this mountainous town it was the markets that really grabbed my attention.
